Finally!

One long overdue update to my webpage. The D&D section has been updated with the Correu campaign's latest exploits. The reviews page has quotes on The Quality of Leadership. The calendar has been updated for upcoming events. The junior and sophomore webpages are ready to go for the month of September. I, sadly, had to update my bio to remove Ginger now that she is no longer with us.

End of Day

Got the vocabulary lesson completed.  (Yeah!)

Didn't get to go over the pitch.  I'll do it tomorrow after school.  I was obsessed with working on the website.  Thanks to trillsie and popfiend for their thoughts on the site.  I brought my warts and all page up to date.  This are the quotes from reviewers of my work, both good and bad.  It now includes two reviews from the COE omnibus Creative Couplings which features my novella, "Paradise Interrupted."

The letter campaign in front of the church went well.  We had a lot of sympathy and I got one guaranteed pledge of help.

The rest of the day was spent with Mikey.  He's got this new thing now about going to bed.  I don't know if it's fear or just that he can't be bothered, but he goes into hysterics every night.  I tried to explain to him tonight that everyone goes to sleep and he replied, "Mikey doesn't."

Hey!

Any Skype users here?  I tried going the live route for my podcast with Talkshoe, but it's crap.  I finally found an application that works with my Vista laptop that will allow me to record conference calls.  This will be good for future podcasts because I want to line up some interviews with some people I know.  It will also be a huge help with something I've had in the back of my mind for some time.  This working will coax it to the front.  ;)

Huzzah!

It's alive!  I just got off my first live episode of Anything and Everything DREWSHI.  It worked and it worked well.  I had five listeners this time around, at least five in the chat room anyway.  It was a lot of fun, despite the fact that I didn't get anyone talking, but the chat area was busy.  I used my more professional microphone this time, but I'm going to look into a headset as everyone I've spoken to says I'll have better sound with it.

Crash and Burn!

Everything was working well in the test run, but in the actual broadcast last night, I was told I could only be heard, if at all, every third to fifth word.  After about twenty minutes, I threw in the towel.  I'm going to look into other applications I can use to broadcast this week and see about trying again this Sunday.  It was disappointing, but I was ready and will be again.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI - Episode 2

Most of you here have heard this episode already, but I haven't had the time to put a new together and last week I had technical difficulties.  It's episode two featuring an episode of Nero Wolfe, music, and the usual weird news.  Enjoy.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI - Episode 1

I'm out of here for about two weeks as the family and I head for Ireland.  Here's the first episode of version 2.0 to pass the time until I get back.  Stay cool.

Wow!

Anything and Everything DREWSHI -Episode 17

I'm still stuck in the 70's this week as I go on about the BBC series Life on Mars.  There's also 70's music from the soundtrack, a Spider Super Story from The Electric Company and a Star Trek story from Power Records.  Enjoy.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI -Episode 16

This week I talk about Millennium, the blackout 0f 77 in New York, and present the Lux Radio Theater's production of "The Birds" ten years before Hitchcock directed the movie.  This adaptation is more faithful to the original short story than the movie was.  Enjoy.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI -Episode 15

I'm back with a new show and I think I went a little off the deep end.  I rant about the importance we place on baseball and celebrities and may have gone a bit too far.  You decide.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI - Episode 9

I'm feeling under the weather this week so I'm posting this old episode from last year.  Bionicon 2.0 is running this weekend, so this tribute episode to both bionic series is appropriate.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI -Episode 14

This week I'm talking Transformers, featuring music you need to get to know better, (friends, family, and students of mine who have produced their own albums), and serving up OTR in the form of Boston Blackie.  Take a listen.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI - the Internet Show

Yep, I'm back. It's been almost a year, but I'm going to try to do a regular or somewhat regular attempt at producing the podcast. I'm storing the episodes at podomatic.com and the newest episode #13 is now available to listen. You can also download the episode on iTunes. I've added a few new features to the program, including a voice mail line where you can leave your thoughts on the show which I may feature in the next episode. You can, of course, tell me what you think here as well.

So, head on over and take a listen.

I have to thank [info]dferguson for pointing me in the direction of podomatic. It's a cool site and helps with the iTunes links. He produces his own podcast, Better in the Dark, whose current episode features a cool primer of Fantastic Four in its various incarnations - just in time for the release of Rise of the Silver Surfer, which Sue and I saw last night. My thoughts are in the podcast.

Going Back in Time

It's another week of retro Anything and Everything Drewshi.  I can't seem to find my Spider-Man audio file.  I know I had it and I'm just going to have to redo it from my tapes.  I should have the show up and running next weekend.  In the meantime, here's another old one, but this time from the first run I did back in 2004.  It's a Doctor Who special I put together.

Anything and Everything DREWSHI - Episode Four - September 2004

Edit:  Not work safe as at one point I feature Tom Baker cursing his head off as he tries to record several radio commercials.

Huh?

Blast from the Past!

I'm feeling a little oogie this week, so I didn't produce a new episode, but here is the first episode from last year.  Sadly, I've only produced twelve episodes in the past year.
