| The city of Bachanal lies just to the north of the region close to the edge of the Themisol Ocean. It can best be described as a bustling metropolis where one can obtain just about anything they want, literally. Because of this, there are many dark corners of the city. You have traveled here from your native lands to seek adventure and companionship. Perhaps you come from a long line of such noble people. Perhaps you have something to prove. Perhaps you are trying to escape from your past. Whatever your story, you are hoping to continue it in Bachanal. And you may just get the opportunity as you step into the Restless Dwarf Tavern and survey the room in front of you. A lone woman sings off-key on a small stage while musicians in tights try to keep up with her warbling. There are several small groups of humanoids sitting in various corners of the tavern, eying you as you enter. You move to the bar itself and order a drink, making sure not to turn your back entirely on the others in the room. You don't have to worry though as their attention has been drawn to a man wearing rich looking robes of the finest silks. The music stops as he enters. He nods, appreciative of the respect he has been accorded. "You know who I am. You know why I'm here. Who here among you has the courage and the strength to accompany me on a journey to Caldor Major? I am in need of six guards to watch my wares as I trade in the city. I will pay you well." You eye the man and notice that the groups sitting off in the corners look down in their drinks. They are not answering the call. This intrigues you, but is it enough for you to raise your hand and accept the request? Will you answer the call? |
